James Ross
James is a highly experienced BAFTA nominated Series Director and Producer / Director with a proven track record of delivering high profile series and single films to major broadcasters. He enjoys making though provoking and engaging films filled with warmth, humour, purpose, content and style. He’s experienced in the edit, comfortable working with crew or self-shooting (FS7, C300, primes) and has worked with some of the UK’s top on screen talent (Ed Balls, David Olusoga, Giles Coren).
He’s extremely versatile and has produced critically acclaimed films in a wide range of genres including Obs Doc, History, Arts and Current Affairs and enjoys the challenge of bringing a fresh vision, new ideas and an original style to his projects.
He's also previously worked on docu-dramas like"Banged Up Abroad", and directed for corporate clients like The Silver Line.
Prior to moving into directing he worked in Development for many years at companies like Raw TV, Firecrackers Films and Century Films, creating dozens of new series and singles for major broadcasters such as the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Discovery Channel, Nat Geo, A&E.
